Delivery & Returns


We aim to deliver goods to you within the time indicated by us on the relevant product page on our website but we cannot give an exact delivery date. We also may deliver the goods in several consignments but will not charge any extra delivery for this. In most cases orders received prior to 3pm will be processed and shipped the same day. In some instances where stock is being held in storage or with our suppliers, delivery may take an extra 1 working day.

Screw Centre Ltd offers free delivery to UK Mainland addresses for orders over £50 (scotland, offshore and highland post codes may have an additional surcharge applied to the basket. If an item is out of stock you will be given the option to retain the goods on back order, an alternative product or to be refunded the price paid within 30 days. 

Some bulky/multi-parcel orders may incur a delivery surcharge, such as pallet deliveries. Please call us for a quotation for any extra costs, if any. If a surcharge is required we will contact you after you have placed your order via phone or email.

Returns & Refunds

If you change your mind
Under the Distance Selling regulation if you decide you no longer want the product ordered, you are entitled to return it, provided that you inform us within 30 days following the date of delivery.If you are returning a product to us, you are responsible for the safe delivery of that product until received by us. We therefore recommend using a tracked, insured delivery method. We will always refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. You will need to pay to get the item back to us and the item must be unused and returned to us in the condition in which it was dispatched.

Damaged in transit
If any items were damaged in transit, we ask that you report it to us as soon as you discover the damage, and within 7 working days at the very latest. No claims can be entertained after this period. If the items are visibly damaged on receipt, please sign the carrier's delivery note as 'DAMAGED', or refuse the goods for return to us. If you do not have time to check the goods upon delivery, it is best to sign for the goods as 'UNCHECKED'. We advise that items should be returned with their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation. Once received, we'll issue a replacement or full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse you for reasonable return carriage costs.

Items Faulty on Arrival
If your items are faulty on arrival, you have 7 calendar days in which to inform us of the fault. We advise that items should be returned with their original packaging complete with all accessories and documentation. Once we have verified the fault, we'll issue a replacement or full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse you for reasonable return carriage costs. We will have the returned items inspected, and if a returned item is found not to be faulty we will return the item to you. In this instance you will be liable for the return carriage, and the items will not be re-sent until we have received payment equal to the initial carriage cost.

Items Faulty in Warranty Period
All products are covered by manufactures guarantees, unless otherwise stated, therefore if any of your purchases develop a fault, then provided your item is within its warranty period, contact us on with full details of item, when you purchased it and we will advise on the quickest course of action. This may be a technical phone call, site visit from the manufacture or your item may need to be returned to the manufacture.

Items Not Received
After receiving contact from you we will start an internal investigation with the courier which can take between 3-5 working days. Once the investigation is complete we will be in a position to provide you with an update. Failure to notify us within the 7 working days timeframe may prevent an investigation from taking place with no final resolution being offered. Therefore, any goods purchased will be non-recoverable / non-refundable and will not be re-dispatched.
